How to Consign
Consigning is a great way to recycle your gently used items, giving someone else the opportunity to treasure them as much as you did.
To begin consigning with Retail Therapy we ask that you read over the following page. All clothing must meet the following requirements:
- On hangers (NO exceptions),
- No stains, rips, or tears,
- No buttons missing,
- No pet hair,
- No outdated styles,
- Must be in season,
- Must be either dry cleaned or laundered and pressed.
**Please note: You no longer need an appointment to consign with us. We will take up to 20 items a day from the 1st to the 21st of each month (excluding January). Please respect our rules on the 20 items per day. By doing this it will keep the intake under control and allow us to get your clothing out in a timely manner. We will not accept clothing from the 22nd to the 31st of the month as this will be out “catch up time.”
Children’s clothing that will not fit on adult hangers can be laid flat in a bag or box to be left with us. We no longer accept toys and children’s bedding. We do however take children’s books. and movies.
We will go through all of your items and if there is anything we cannot use you have the option to pick it back up or we can donate it to Cypress Assistance Ministries.
Consignment periods are for a term of 60 days. Sales are split 60/40 with the consignor receiving 40% of the purchase price once the item sells. Please note, we do not purchase items from you outright.
